Novato Theater

After being closed for twenty years, the 1946 Art Deco Novato Theater is being re-designed to accommodate both a movie theater and a performing arts theater.  Having been unanimously approved by the Novato Design Review Commission in March. Daniel Macdonald Architects is continuing to bring the old theater to life.

(The Novato Theater, a 501(c)(3) non-profit community benefit corporation, is leading the project to rebuild the historic downtown Novato Theater as a community cultural center where live music, performing arts such as live theater and dance recitals, simulcast showings of live opera, Broadway shows, sports events, as well as a daily film program will have a year-round venue.)
